LaNerrick Harris
LaNerrick “StyX” Harris was born and raised in Flint, Michigan. He was introduced to the drums by his older brother at 6 years old. With hard work and being taught to listen first, he started playing drums at church at the age of eight years old. After playing college basketball in 2003, LaNerrick was introduced into being a working drummer. He played for two acts over the course of three years before playing with Heather Jones and Jones’n in 2007 In 2013 Jones'n performed on PBS BackStage pass which was stilled played today . He played Blues, Rock, and Soul with them until 2014. In 2014 LaNerrick started playing for Victorious Word Church and is currently the drummer there now. In 2016 LaNerrick joined StillRain Band who has opened for the likes of Billy Currington, Kenny Chesney, Sammy Kershaw, Aaron Tippin, Clay Walker to KC and the Sunshine Band, Hall & Oats and Blessed Union of Souls. LaNerrick believes that as a musician you should play the way you would have a conversation with a person or group. Play with the appropriate volume. Play in the right context of the music. And also, share the music.
